As a kid I wanted to be an astronaut, but quickly realized that would never be possible; I was terrible at physics and calculus. Then I dreamt of being a news reporter. That one I accomplished, but just three years in realized it wasn’t my passion. Today, as Worldpay for Business’ Director of Go to Market, I reflect on the career choices that got me here. I’m incredibly passionate about driving outcomes by looking through multiple lenses and vantage points. Let me explain…
Early in my career, I transitioned from a media news junkie to a public relations and marketing aficionado. As my “go to market” journey morphed through program management, strategy, and finance, I’ve always focused on getting key strategic projects “moving”. My experiences across multiple industries – non-profits, insurance, banking and now payments allowed me to build a toolbox enabling best-in-class delivery. Now, I’m honored to teach others the same and have a fantastic team, leading the go to market of Commerce 360, in partnership with GoDaddy.
My career has never been dull; I have and will always take calculated risks. As Sheryl Sandberg once said, “If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat! Just get on.” In my spare time, I remain sane by exercising and spending much needed time with my husband and two very energetic, but loving boys. We thrive on hikes in the mountains and being with those we love.
