In this role, Kathleen oversees all partners and programs in the US for acquiring merchants to accept American Express, including OptBlue and Aggregators. She has been with American Express for 25 years, including roles in client management, marketing, business development, product management, and as country manager of the Nordics.
She previously was VP, Payment Consulting in Global Strategy & Capabilities, during which she managed all aspects of the merchant acquiring payment strategies, including global enablement. She led a team of 130 employees across 21 countries. In her role, Kathleen oversaw our third party processor and bank partner relationships, many of whom are OptBlue participants. Most notably, she led the EMV payment security efforts for Global Merchant Services.
